Horse health
Proper horse health is the most vital part of being a horse
owner. When you begin to care for the health of a horse, there's
so much to learn it may seem impossible to absorb it all.
At Immunall.us we will educate and inform you on all forms
of horse health. From the daily care of hooves to maintaining
your horse's teeth, joints and internal health, you are responsible
for the care of a much respected animal! Keeping your horse
healthy involves choosing the right feed, watching out for
colic and other digestive problems, paying attention to foot
and leg issues, riding with the proper tack, correct grooming,
and regular vaccinations and de-worming, as well as hundreds
of other issues. One major concern in horse health is daily
hoof care.
Cleaning and trimming must be done before and after every
ride and if your horse does a lot of working or riding on
hard surfaces the foot must also be shod. A farrier or veterinarian
will be able to tell you exactly what you need to keep up
proper foot horse health. A horse carries up to 1000 pounds
daily on its four small feet but also has to have extremely
strong legs to support that weight. You must watch for any
sign of injury. Many leg injuries occur in racing thoroughbreds
that are overworked.
There are necessary precautions each of us as horse owners
should take where our beloved horse’s
health is concerned. You must be in tune with your horse.
Know what his daily feel is. If he is acting out one day,
he may have a fever or be in pain. There are tests that you
can administer to your horse to know if he has contracted
an infection of some kind. This is your horse; you should
always be the first to know if anything is out of place.
Immunall.us wants to help. We will provide information related
to the care and health of your horse. Our main objective is
assisting all horse owners on the proper care needed for optimum
horse health.
